Behind the Forge

We are a collective of artisans, dreamers, and makers — reshaping the way the world interacts with handcrafted goods.

Our story started with a hammer and a spark

Dutch Mart was founded in 2024 by a small group of craftspeople who believed that mass production had stolen the soul from everyday objects. We envisioned a space where authenticity, sustainability, and raw creativity could thrive — a digital forge connecting makers with those who appreciate the beauty of the imperfect.

What began as a weekend market stall in Los Angeles has grown into a global community. Today, we collaborate with over 50 independent artisans from 12 countries, each piece carrying the unique fingerprint of its creator. From hand-thrown ceramics to forged metalwork, every item tells a story.

We don’t just sell products — we preserve traditions, empower creators, and celebrate the human touch.

Meet our wood whisperers

In the highlands of Oaxaca and the forests of Oregon, our wood artisans source fallen timber and transform it into functional sculpture. Each cutting board, serving platter, and carved tool carries the grain’s natural poetry — no two are ever identical.

We are proud to plant 3 trees for every wooden product sold, ensuring that our craft gives back to the earth.
